The macha definitely gives a jolt of energy without the buzz effect. I would definitely recommend.
I noticed the energy jolt the first time I tried it, possibly because I added a whole teaspoon instead of the 1/2 I usually do or because I might actually have been rested. No, it definitely could not have been the latter ๐
