Y’all. I am seriously in need of a beach trip! I love Atlanta, but the fact that it’s landlocked is definitely a downer sometimes, especially when coupled with the fact that I feel all out of sorts when I haven’t been to the coast in a while. There’s just something about seeing the waves, feeling the ocean breezes, smelling the salty air, and staring at the horizon that puts things in perspective for me. All the day-to-day minutia and build-up of little things that ig me seem so small and unimportant in comparison.
So, that’s the backstory. The front story is the following convo I had with with my hubby before running out to meet some friends for lunch at JCT Kitchen:
Me: “I’m feeling beach-y, Babe. Do I look beach-y?”
Hub: (looking intently at the outfit he probably didn’t even notice I was wearing until I brought it up) “Yeah, you do. Because you’ve got that basket…”
Me: “It’s NOT a basket. It’s a straw bag. A purse.”
Hub: (leaning in for a kiss) “Well, it looks like a basket.”
Me: Sigh.

Hahahahah at “basket”!!!! You do look beachy. I like those shoes and that hat especially. Target was having a hat sale last week. Is that when you got the hat?
I saw your tweet about the Target hat sale last week, and I was so sorry I didn’t get a chance to check it out! Hopefully, there will still be some good deals/finds when I do go to the store. I got the hat in these pics last year. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Sometimes I just have to shake my head 🙂 I don’t know which is worse, the fact that he doesn’t know a basket from a handbag or the fact that he wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if I was walking around with a random picnic basket. I do like to mix it up, so maybe he gets a pass 🙂
