Organization: Freezer

I don’t always have (or make) the time to cook every day, but I do like to eat every day. That’s why I think the freezer is a busy girl’s (or guy’s) best friend. Not as good as a diamond of course, but a good BFF nonetheless. I keep my freezer stocked with things I use often – fruit for smoothies; veggies I can spice up to make quick side dishes; shredded cheeses, bread, nuts, etc. – and when I do cook, I make extra and freeze the leftovers. That way, an entire meal can be plate-ready with minimal time and effort involved.

To keep things corralled and fairly organized, I use plastic storage containers (without tops) and freezer labels. There are probably other labels that would work as well, but I know for a fact that the regular ones from my label maker do NOT stay attached in the freezer, not even with a layer of clear tape over them. I was over that peeling, wasted label mess in a hurry.

Now…about those diamonds…
