This is my first foray into the non-gray or black tights world… Seeing these pictures, I’m not quite sure I’m feeling the navy, especially since it looks more “blue” and much less “navy” in pics than IRL.

  1. This coat is one of hm favorite pieces of yours. I remember I wanted it when they had it in a burgundy color, but it wasn’t quite in my price range. Camel is classic though, and I definitely see myself adding a camel coat in the future. Even though there was some color confusion (happens to us all!) my favorite outfit from the group is the one with the bows. And there’s nothing wrong with mixing it up with tights but I usually stick to black myself though I have a few colored pairs too. Another way to wear them is with all black with a matching accessory like a necklace or scarf that picks up a bit of that color. Afterwards though I always go right back to black haha! It always works.

Oh, I remember the burgundy one, too, Ele! It was so gorgeous! I have a good friend who buys a new winter coat (or two) every year; I think I might adopt that habit as well. Classic coats never go out of style, and it’s an easier-on-the-budget way to build a collection that will last and last.

Thanks for reading and commenting 🙂

  2. I think the look is very becoming. The blue and green and camel are a great combo. New looks just take some getting use to.

Thank you, Birdie! I really appreciate that, and you’re so right: I stepped out of my tights comfort zone with this color – actually I used to be too self-conscious to wear tights at all, so I’m making big progress 🙂 – and I need to get used to it. Great advice!
