Quick Tip: Use Glasses or Mugs as Toothbrush Holders

His/Her Glasses by Kate Spade

When decorating a bathroom, the hardest things for me to find are the simple, functional items like soap dishes and toothbrush/toothpaste holders, with the latter being the most elusive. My last toothbrush container in a long line of toothbrush containers was perfectly modern and minimalist and in just the right shade of orange to match the Paris photography on the wall. But it wasn’t dishwasher safe AND the shape of the thing made it impossible to wash well. I finally gave up on “Bath” department readymade holders altogether.

I had my eye on these thick, bottom-heavy His/Her glasses – also available in Mr./Mrs. and Yours/Mine  – for a while, so when I lucked up on a restriction-free coupon, I went for it. (This might make a good DIY project for those who want to try their hand at custom glass etching.) The fact that any type of glass or mug would work makes it super simple to coordinate with any bathroom theme or style.

  1. This is perfect! I like these much better than a Mason jar. Would be fun to do some with silver spray paint as well. Cheers!
