Three Things: Tea

Orange Sencha Tea

Two Leaves Tea Company Orange Sencha Green Tea (I buy this in bulk from Amazon.)

While out shopping and chatting with one of my closest friends, I commented on how teeny-tiny most nice tea cups are. Here’s the quick version of the convo:

Me: “They only hold like six ounces of tea!”

Her: “Well, how much do you need it to hold?”

Me: (calculating how much tea I drink on the average day… then looking shocked when I realize how very much tea I typically drink) “Oh.”

Her: “It looks like you have a different issue than you thought.”

Touche’, my friend 🙂

Island Sunrise Green Tea

Island Sunrise Green Tea, my “company’s coming” tea 🙂

We stopped at Serenity House Tea Society in St. Simons on the way to Sea Island, and I spent an hour learning about and tasting different teas with the most patient, knowledgeable salesperson ever. I finally decided on this mix of sencha, pomegranate, lemongrass, and goji berries.

  1. Sencha is one of my favorites! Sometimes, I add some of the sencha powder to my smoothie. It gives it such a nice flavor. Dare I ask how much tea you actually drink? 🙂

Uhmmm, I’m going to plead the Fifth on that question 🙂 Thank you for the tip of adding tea to smoothies! I bought some matcha (powdered green tea), and mixed it into my morning green smoothie. Definitely a keeper. Thanks again!

  2. Forget the tea! Tell us more about your trip to Sea Island! 🙂

Ha! I might do a post about it… Either way, I definitely recommend The Cloisters in Sea Island as a relaxing, no-passport-needed, la dolce vita type trip:-)
