Windowpane Skirt + Cable Knit Sweater + Tights + Camel Coat

Despite having happy-hued trousers; jeans in different cuts, washes, and colors; and even some skirts and dresses* in my closet, I always find myself reaching for the same few pairs of skinny jeans all. the. time. It makes no sense, and I must do better.

Step 1: Wear skirts more often (even when it’s cold out)!

*I actually have “skirts” and “dresses” both on my shopping list and on my vision board for this year. I won’t abandon my tried-and-trues, of course, but I am going to try to mix it up a little. Plus, a break every now and then might keep my faves from turning to shreds from wear.

Thank you, Mo! I picked up that skirt and a similar solid forest green one during a great Madewell sale 🙂

  2. You are wearing tights! Squealing!!

    • Joy and Sunshine says:

Yes! I had such bad memories of wearing tight, itchy, uncomfortable tights as a child that I avoided them as an adult. I guess tights have come a long way since then, because these are actually comfy and don’t feel like compression pants, lol. They did keep slipping down a bit. Any tips to remedy that, or is slippage just a part of tights-wearing?
